Acts 18:26

Acts 18:26

26and he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

This teaching was not done in the assembly. Apollos was "taken aside". This was within the context of a home or a personal setting. A woman in her personal dealings with men should speak truth into their lives. The gospel and sound doctrine should permeate their lives and affect others. Colossians 3:16 says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." This is very different to what is talked about in 1 Timothy 2.
